Courses being offered from the 1st week of August (first semester) 2010 PDF Print E-mail
I. Intensive Courses: The teaching is done in a short period of time (with more lecture hours in each class session) and the students are then given time (two to three months) to do the reading and writing assignments. These courses are generally offered by Visiting Faculty (Professors/Lecturers).

  1. We will have one Course in Counseling (the Practical Aspects of it) – the dates will be announced later on
  2. We will have one course in Christian Apologetics to Islam (the dates will be announced later on)

II. Regular Semester-Long Courses: The teaching and students’ work (reading, research, and writing assignments) are done throughout the semester (August to November/December). These courses are generally offered by the resident faculty or resident faculty together with a visiting faculty (team teaching).

12th February (Friday)


5:30 pm to 8:30 pm – for a larger gathering of Christians (around 500) - College-University Students, Seminary/Bible College Students, Professionals - software folks, government officers, engineers, doctors, lecturers, professors, etc.,  and some Pastors/Leaders - this is to give Christians a taste of apologetics and to strengthen them in their faith (and may be to get them excited in a fresh way about their faith and apologetics)

Lecture for 1 hour followed by a Q&A Session (for 30-45 minutes)

Topic: Evidence for Christianity

Venue: Wesley Boys’ Junior College Auditorium, Paradise Center, Secunderabad


13th (Saturday)

1) Morning - A Seminar for 100 people from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm (to train and equip Christian College-University Students and Professionals) - two lectures/presentations (may be 45-50 minutes each and a Q&A Session for 30 - 45 minutes) – we will take people on a first come first, first serve basis

Registration Fee: Rs. 150/ only (towards tea and lunch)

Topic: Resurrection of Christ – Fact or Fiction? (Evidences for and Relevance of Resurrection, keeping the current global trends in view) - in this seminar the speaker will go into greater detail and deal with some very key issues to equip people with knowledge and insight so that they might be able to defend their faith in the resurrection effectively (in their interactions with their colleagues and friends and even in their formal presentations)

Venue: Jeevan Jyothi Retreat Center, Street No. 3, Chickoti Gardens, Begumpet (Lane Opposite Shoppers’ Stop)

2) Evening (5:30pm – 8:00 pm) - for unbelievers (a pre-evangelistic Open Forum - Lecture followed by a Q&A session)
- this will be an outreach and Christians will invite/bring their non-Christian friends/colleagues - we are aiming at having 250 - 300 people. The Q&A Session would be the key and would give us many opportunities to clarify the truth and present more truth or truth in greater detail. The lecture would be for 1 hour and the Q&A Session would be for 30 minutes.

Venue:  The Country Club, Beside Begumpet Railway Station, Hyderabad - 16

NOTE: Please pray and plan to come and bring friends for each of these events with one of the leading Christian Philosophers and Apologists (with a Ph. D in Philosophy and a Ph. D in Theology) who has successfully debated all the leading Atheists, Rationalists, Muslims, etc., over the past 20 years or so and presented and defended the Christian Faith.

1. International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church on 8th November (from 4-7 pm) – all those that are burdened to pray for the persecuted are welcome. 
Theme: Persecuted but not abandoned (2 Cor. 4: 8-9) – tell the persecuted that they are not abandoned by your prayers
Leader: Hudson Silas
Devotion: On “The Prayer-Persecution Connection in History and the Bible
Prayer/Intercession: For the persecuted Christians in different countries and especially in India (all the states where persecution against Christians is rampant)
2. November 2009 to January 2010:
  • Completing the First Batch of Introduction to Christian Apologetics I (both Thursday and Saturday classes)
  • Continuation and Completion of the First Batch of N T Greek I (both Tuesday and Saturday classes)
  • Continuation of the Second Batch of Introduction to Christian Apologetics I (Friday class) that was started from the first week of September
  • Starting of a Fast Track Batch (with more teaching hours/hours of teaching per class session) of Introduction to Christian Apologetics I (those that are interested should contact us and register for this as soon as possible) from the 3rd Week of November
  • An Intensive Course on Biblical Preaching in Contemporary India being offered by Dr. C. S. Dutt (January 2010) – those that are interested should register now (by calling or e-mailing)
3. February 2010 onwards:
  • Starting of a New Course, Theology I
  • Starting of a New Course, Introduction to Christian Apologetics II
  • Starting new batch of N T Greek I
  • Lectures with Dr. William Lane Craig (a renowned Philosopher and Christian Apologist)

HITHA Events - August 2009 PDF Print E-mail

The Second Batch of Introduction to Christian Apologetics I class will meet on Fridays from 7pm to 9 pm starting from Friday the 21st of August.

  1. August 11, Tuesday (from 7 pm) - Orientation at HITHA for all the Registered and Prospective Students for the Regular Semester (August 2nd week to December 2nd week) 2009
  2. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - Continuation of classes (both New Testament Greek I and Introduction to Christian Apologetics I) for the First Batches that started in March 2009 (the courses will be completed by the middle of September)
  3. Batch 2 of both New Testament Greek I and Intro to Christian Apologetics I will start after the Orientation Program on the 11th (the days and timings will be decided on the basis of the convenience of most of the students)
  4. A Three-Day Seminar (2nd 4th September '09) on "Biblical Theology of Persecution and Discipleship" for Persecuted Pastors and Leaders at Gopalpur-on-Sea (Near Berhampur, Orissa) at Vincent Retreat Center organized by HITHA in partnership with VOM-Canada (Coordinator: Hudson Silas - 9437072622 and 9338686605)
